How it All began
In 2024, I embarked on a journey that would change my life forever. Born and raised in Punjab, India, I grew up in a culture where women were often expected to conform to narrow standards of beauty and behavior. But I was different. I was always ambitious, driven by the shining example set by my incredible mother, who worked tirelessly as a nurse in a government hospital. Her resilience, especially in the face of my brother’s physical challenges, taught me the power of perseverance and strength.
Tragically, my brother passed away in 2020, leaving a void in our family. Yet, my mother remained our rock, showing me that strength comes from within, no matter the circumstances. Despite the societal pressure to adhere to conventional beauty norms, I yearned to break free and embrace my body and skin color with pride.
And so, Celebrate Your Curves was born. Fueled by a desire to challenge the status quo and empower women like me, I founded a brand that celebrates diversity and inclusivity. Through Celebrate Your Curves, I aim to redefine beauty standards, inspiring others to love themselves just as they are.
As a business owner, I noticed a lack of professional clothing options that catered to plus size, petite, and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. With a commitment to diversity and inclusivity, I decided to create a clothing line that offers made-to-measure pieces, ensuring a perfect fit for all body types. And, this endeavor supports women in my small town in India—my aunties—by providing them with meaningful employment opportunities and allowing them to positively contribute to their community.
